At first, I am not really interested in Lugo. I dislike him.

Then, I played the game again and I began to like him.

What I really love most from Lugo is his character development. He turned into a friendly joker into a emotional jerk. I would rather have Lugo at Walker's side in the final chapter than Adams. Adams was cool, and badass; but Lugo has more energy in him. Maybe those two would have died together.

From what I saw in the loading screen, if Lugo was still alive, he would have stayed traumatized for the rest of his life because of his mission. So, really, he was lucky...even though his death wasn't even badass.
